Subclass 600
VISITOR VISA - TOURIST
(Temporary Visa)

A temporary visa which allows you to visit Australia as a tourist, or to visit family and friends.  The length of stay is granted on a case by case basis up to a maximum of 12 months

Basic eligibility:

  • Be a genuine temporary visitor to Australia

  • Have sufficient funds to cover your stay

  • Meet standard health and character requirements

VISITOR VISA - SPONSORED FAMILY
(Temporary Visa)

A temporary visa which allows you to visit a family member in Australia.  The length of stay is granted on a case by case basis up to a maximum of 12 months

Basic eligibility (visa applicant):

  • Be a genuine temporary visitor to Australia

  • Have sufficient funds to cover your stay

  • Meet standard health and character requirements

Basic eligibility (family sponsor):

  • Must be a relative of the visa applicant

  • Be a permanent resident or Australian citizen

  • Be at least 18 years old

  • May be required to pay a security bond ($5000 - $15000) if requested by immigration

VISITOR VISA - BUSINESS
(Temporary Visa)

A temporary visa which allows you to visit Australia to undertake business visitor activities such as negotiate contracts, enquire about business or employment opportunities or take part in conferences/fairs or seminars.

The typical length of stay is granted for 3 months.  A maximum stay of up to 12 months may be granted on a case by case basis

Basic eligibility:

  • Be a genuine temporary visitor to Australia performing business visitor activities

    • Note:  You cannot sell goods or services directly to the public, nor can you work for an Australian company on this visa​

  • Have sufficient funds to cover your stay

  • Meet standard health and character requirements

Traveling by Air

Subclass 600
VISITOR VISA - APPROVED DESTINATION
(Temporary Visa)

A temporary visa for citizens of the People's Republic of China as part of a tour group

Basic eligibility:

  • Be a genuine temporary visitor to Australia

  • Be part of a tour organised by an approved travel agent

  • Meet standard health and character requirements
